Orthodontics and Success
Studies show that children with nice looking smiles are more popular with their peers and their teachers. These children achieve better grades and are more successful throughout their overall scholastic careers. Experts say that this increased success is due to the increased self confidence and people skills compared to those children with less attractive smiles and less self confidence.
A recent study shows that adults with attractive smiles were twice as likely to be hired for the same position as other adults with less attractive smiles. This study took place in an interview setting. Two groups of adults with similar qualifications were interviewed for a job position. The group with attractive smiles had twice as many people invited back for second interviews.
Another survey showed that adults with attractive smiles were more appealing to the opposite sex. This study took place during a speed dating meeting. Two groups of males and females were separated by those who had attractive smiles and those who did not. The results showed that adults (both male and female) who had attractive smiles were more often invited for a second meeting. The interesting result was that adults with unattractive smiles were consistently more attracted to adults with attractive smiles!
What attributes do you notice first when you meet someone new? Recent surveys show that "their smile" is always in the top four of all answers. The others three attributes are "their eyes", "what they're wearing", and "their hair".
If your smile is one of the first attributes that people see, why would you settle for anything less than perfect? Achieving the perfect smile is simple and requires very little effort.
How much time, effort, and money do you spend on your hair, clothes, beauty products, gym memberships, and diets? These items are an ongoing process and expense that cost you tens of thousands of dollars over your lifetime.
Achieving the perfect smile takes relatively little time, effort, and money compared to the other activities mentioned above. Also, it requires very little maintenance and will last a lifetime! Think of a perfect smile as a great investment: You put very little into it, but get a lifetime of happiness and success out of it.
Don't live your entire life hiding your teeth and smile, or being ashamed of it. Do something about it, and change your life forever.
Don't let an imperfect smile decrease your chances for happiness and success.
